Also, it was an embarrassingly long amount of time. And I actually did five skeins- because I’ve got a healthy dose of OCD, bay-bee.

My fave is Itajime {fabric folded and sandwiched between wood or acrylic}. Though this time I forewent the second step, due to a lack of enough wood/acrylic, clamps and patience.
The patterning varied, but I’m in to it.
About the thread… what began as a seemingly fast and fun organization project became a multiple-months long boneheaded use of my time. For some hilarious reason I decided that my embroidery flosses just had to be organized like so → → → ↓
Only after sinking twenty plus hours into my bright idea (jk, thirty) and with a skein of {fifteen dollars worth of} utterly snaggled silk in my lap, I messaged the shop I bought it from with a, “This-isn’t-going-well-for-me. I’m pretty sure my thread is bewitched. Help”.
This is what I got back:
Friends, I don’t have a sweet spindle like Takumi.
And yet, I also wasn’t about to be bested by some thread.
So I sit here in March, with a homemade contraption beside me and a seemingly small pile of thread unwound. Best guess… I have no less than five hours to go.
A few dozen items were added to the shop, including these beauties.
