June | 22
June was quite the month.
The first half was spent adventuring the Pacific Northwest— searching for somewhere magical that feels like ✨ home ✨
I moved to Los Angeles when I was 21 and wanted to spend my entire existence on a film set, and that was forever ago.
I loved working 80+ hours Monday-Friday, picking up extra shoots on the weekend and squeezing in private clients whenever possible— because hustle culture and I were like this 🤞🏻. And I felt an obligation to take every. single. thing. that came my way.
I’d regularly do a 16 hour day and come home to shape brows in my kitchen, with less than nine hours until I had to be back at work again.
Woof!
But I’m not that girl anymore. I haven’t been for awhile. And yet— habits can be hard to break.
Especially when my intention isn’t to leave Production entirely; but to find balance between working for the studios and my studio.
I want slow days, filled with beauty and calm. I want to raise my son— and focus on creating art, for the sheer delight it gives me. I want to take control of my time, to be able to be open to the ✨ possibilities ✨ that present themselves to me.
And we’ve started making plans that are sure to shake things up a bit.
The rest of June was spent designing with estormstudio (patron saint of the interwebs) ✨ because we’re re-doing the website 🎈
And I dyed these lovelies:
