Custom Framing x Disco Tiles

A keepsake, stored out of sight and mind, recently rediscovered. Tucked away, until we were ready for custom framing 💲, the poster lived in a tube in a closet.

That was until {on a whim} I made this mixed media baby using an abandoned custom frame, originally built for a different sized piece of art, and scrap pieces of marbled/painted studio paper

…only to decide it was outside of my taste, and would likely shine brighter with greater intentionality and a more precise hand.

I grabbed a fresh backboard from the craft store, holographic mosaic tiles from an independent manufacturer in Germany…

and after measuring and stickering a bunnnch— tah-dah!!!

What a beauty. I would love to keep making more… but I can’t keep them all for myself.
